About the Top Story Carousels Tool

This is a DBS-created tool that shows current news articles occupying the desirable "Top Stories" carousel in Google search results. The 'Top Stories' carousel is the single most important user acquisition point and this tool shows our real-time visibility across the most important high-volume search terms we are targeting.

Colour Coding Legend

• Green if Google is returning a 'Top Stories' carousel and there are stories from https://www.formula1.com/

• Red if Google is returning a 'Top Stories' carousel but there are no stories from https://www.formula1.com/

• Clear if Google is not returning a 'Top Stories' carousel

How to Use this Tool?

Editors can use this tool to quickly identify where we do not have any articles ranking for our targeted keywords and to see which stories are trending on Google for each targeted term. Ideally we would try to publish articles such that we had a continuous presence in the 'Top Stories' carousal for the most important keywords we are targeting.
